Steps

  1. 01

    Plan the panel

Panels are 320 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall. Design them at 2x for retina displays (640x200).

  2. 02

    Process your image

If you are using a photo of yourself or a game asset, remove the background first.

  3. 03

    Composite in an editor

Figma, Photoshop, or even Canva work. Place the cutout on a coloured panel background.

  4. 04

    Export and upload

Upload to Twitch under your channel settings. Panels are arranged in the order you want.

Tips

  • —Keep panel designs simple. They are viewed at small sizes.
  • —Use your stream colours for consistency.
  • —If you have a mascot or logo, cut that out instead of your face.
  • —Consistent fonts across panels look more professional than mixing.

Common questions

What file format does Twitch accept?

PNG, JPEG, or GIF. Under 10MB.

Can I use the same panel design across platforms?

Yes. YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook Gaming all accept similar image sizes.

Do I need a designer?

No, but a consistent visual identity helps. If you have a logo or brand colours, use them.
