How to remove backgrounds from many images at once

Use the batch upload in Remova to process 20 images at a time, downloading everything as a single ZIP file.

Steps

  1. 01

    Group your images

Batch by category or project. All product photos together, all portraits together. Different categories may need different settings.

  2. 02

    Set consistent settings

Same background (white or transparent), same model, same resolution. Consistency across a batch matters.

  3. 03

    Upload in batches of 20

The tool accepts up to 20 images per batch.

  4. 04

    Download the ZIP

All processed images come back in one ZIP file.

  5. 05

    Verify a sample

Open a few images from the batch and check edges. If some look wrong, reprocess them individually with a better model.

Tips

  • —Consistent source photos produce consistent results. If your originals vary wildly, so will the outputs.
  • —For very large catalogs, process over multiple sessions. No point burning hours at once.
  • —Keep a spreadsheet of which images were processed with which settings. Useful for re-runs.
  • —If you are processing on a laptop, close other browser tabs. Batch processing uses memory.

Common questions

What is the maximum batch size?

20 images, or 10 videos.

Does batch processing slow down per image?

No. Each image is processed in sequence at the same speed as a single image.

Can I mix images and videos in a batch?

No. Videos use a different pipeline. Process them separately.
