Aadhaar update portals want a plain background with the face filling most of the frame. You can convert any photo into one that passes the check in about two minutes.
Steps
- Take a clear front-facing photo. Even lighting, no glasses.
- Upload it to the tool. Set the output to White, not Transparent.
- Download the JPEG and check the file size.
- Crop to the portal spec — around 200 by 230 pixels, under 50KB.
Things that help
- Stand a metre from the wall if you are shooting a new photo. It removes shadows on the background.
- Do not use a selfie. Phone cameras warp facial features at close range.
- If the portal rejects the file size, open the result in the editor and export at 80 percent quality.
