Real estate listing photos without clutter

For agent headshots, process with Transparent output and composite over a clean background. For property photos, use the manual editor to remove specific objects.

Steps

  1. 01

    For agent headshots

Process the photo with Transparent output. Composite over a subtle gradient in your agency's brand colour.

  2. 02

    For property photos

Use the manual editor to mark small objects you want removed, then let the tool fill in the area.

  3. 03

    For staging

If you are compositing furniture into an empty room, cut out the furniture first, then composite.

Tips

  • —Do not over-process property photos. Buyers can tell when a photo has been manipulated.
  • —Agent headshots should look consistent across the team. Same background, same framing.
  • —Small object removal works best on plain surfaces. Busy textures are harder.
  • —Keep photo dimensions at least 1024x768 for listing portals.

Common questions

Is object removal from property photos ethical?

Removing small distracting objects (a stray chair, a sign) is standard practice. Removing structural flaws is not.

Can I use this for virtual staging?

The tool removes backgrounds, not adds furniture. For virtual staging, use a dedicated service.

What about drone photos?

Drone photos do not usually need background removal. If you want to isolate a specific building, the manual editor works.
