How to make a logo with a transparent background

Process the logo in Remova with Transparent output. The result is a PNG with alpha that can be used anywhere.

Steps

  1. 01

    Upload the logo

JPG or PNG both work. PNG with a solid background is common.

  2. 02

    Process with Transparent output

The tool removes the background, leaving just the logo mark.

  3. 03

    Download the PNG

Now the logo can be placed on any background without a white box around it.

Tips

  • —If the logo has fine details or thin lines, check the result carefully. Some lines may be lost.
  • —For a logo with a lot of detail, use the manual editor to clean up specific areas.
  • —Save the transparent version as the master file. Use it for all future placements.
  • —Do not use this on a logo with gradients or photographic elements. The tool works best on flat-colour logos.

Common questions

Will the anti-aliasing around the logo edges be preserved?

Yes, usually. Anti-aliasing is part of the mask, so it survives the cutout.

Can I use this for a favicon?

Yes. Export at 32x32 or 64x64 from the editor.

What if the logo is very small?

Process at the largest version you have, then scale down. Scaling up will lose detail.
